It is important to remove dust, dirt, and debris that can accumulate in the track of windows and doors, for example, hindering smooth operation. Here’s what you need to do:
Clean the Glass: Use an approved glass cleaner for a sparkling shine. Check out our cleaners here.
Freshen Up the Metal: Alsysco Aluminium Powder Coating Cleaner ensures your frames stay pristine.
Check Your Locks: Ensure the locking mechanisms move freely and engage properly.
Inspect Tracks and Frame: Clear any debris or dirt from the track and outer frame.
Your six-monthly inspection mirrors your monthly routine. However, if you live in a coastal area, or a known corrosive environment, applying preventative measures to keep your systems working well is vital. Here’s what to watch out for:
Visible Corrosion: Inspect aluminium profiles and locking mechanisms for any signs of corrosion buildup.
Lock Functionality: Ensure proper locking engagement between the keeps.
Drainage Essentials: Verify drainage covers and baffles are in place.
If you have insect screens or security barriers installed, give the mesh Some TLC: Remove dirt and dust using a soft brush and a wipe-down with a damp, lint-free cloth.
